We are in the middle of summer in Costa Rica! Hot, dry days and cool, windy nights are the norm for this time of year. Frequently Lynn and I go hiking back in the mountains; we have had the opportunity to witness and distribute tracts to people with whom we would never have contact. Last week I backpacked through a remote area, witnessing to farmers and people in their homes. I spent the night by a river and the next morning walked out to the highway where Lynn met me with the car.
God has blessed us with a spirit of revival at Calvary Baptist in San Ramon. We have eight Cuban people attending our church. A new couple was saved this past Sunday. Recently, I baptized five new converts. In nearly every service, we have new visitors. The church members are witnessing and inviting others to church.
We are in our third week of repair and construction at the church. We are installing the ceiling, painting, welding, and finishing the roof replacement. We gave the old metal roofing to our mission churches for needed repairs on their buildings. We are helping them with their construction projects. Thank you to all who have contributed in some way for these needs. On this month’s financial statement, there were gifts totaling $754.00. Thank you so much! We still need about $8,000 to finish one church and about $5,000 to finish the Sunday School addition on another mission church. God is supplying these needs through your generosity!
If you haven’t sent us your e-mail address, please drop us a note so that we can send you our newsletter through the Internet. This is quicker and cheaper! Thank you to all who have already responded. Thank you for your prayers for our health, our ministry, our children, and for souls in Costa Rica. Thank you for helping us financially so that we may labor in Costa Rica for the Lord Jesus.
Working together for Christ,
