These past three months have been full of bountiful blessings from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God continues to allow us to see souls saved, new believers baptized, and disciples trained in the work of evangelism and Bible teaching.
We are so thankful for your prayers for us and our children. Your monthly support permits us to fulfill the calling that God has placed on our lives. Although our children are in their own careers, yet they are an important part of our lives. Lathan (Captain, USAF) is still on mission in Sudan, Africa. Richard (1st Lt, USMC) received his pilot wings in May and is stationed in San Diego, California, where he continues training until deployment to the Persian Gulf region. Rachel finished her Masters Degree in Photojournalism and is now doing an internship at the Chattanooga Times-Free Press.
Our oldest resident BIMI missionary in Costa Rica, Brother Bill Murdock, went home to be with the Lord after a month-long bout with pneumonia and heart problems. This leaves a gap to be filled by someone else. “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He would send forth laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2). Please remember his wife, Cindy, and three daughters (Debbie, Sherry, and Lisa) in prayer during this time.
We were able to replace the roof on the church in San Ramon with no major problems. This eliminates leakage and permits us to continue with the work of installing ceiling, new lights, fans, and a better sound system. We are also making plans to build Sunday School rooms at the church in Atenas; as well as a new church building in Concepcion.
We are without a national pastor for the church in Bolivar; please pray that God will raise up a man for this work.
Working together for Christ,
Russ and Lynn Turner
