December 2007 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends:

As we draw near the year’s end, I am reminded of the promise in Deuteronomy 11:12,

“A land which the Lord thy God careth for; for the eyes of the Lord thy God are
always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

In spite of torrential rains, floods, landslides, and other natural calamities, God’s hand
of protection and blessing has been upon us! God has allowed us to accomplish several projects during 2007, such as:

  1. replacing the roof on the church in San Ramon
  2. purchasing and landscaping property for the new church building
    in Concepcion
  3. combining the two churches in Atenas, resulting in steady growth,
    both spiritually and numerically
  4. winning a number of people to the Lord, baptizing them, and
discipling them to greater dedication for the Lord
  5. increasing our own missions outreach through faith promise giving
  6. providing a building in Bolivar for the health clinic where doctors
attend to the sick and needy each Thursday
  7. finding a house that we could rent for our own living purposes

Because of your faithfulness in prayers and support, we are able to live in Costa Rica and fulfill the ministry that God has called us to do! God is the source of all blessing, but you are the channel that He uses to get that blessing to us! Thank you for your heart for missons! Thank you for your interest in our ministry! Thank you for your love shown to us through your giving!

We look forward to the challenges of the new year of 2008! Perhaps this is the year that Jesus will return to rapture His church! Until that day, we want to give direction to the lost, exhortation to the saved, and prepare new laborers for the harvest field of souls!

Working together for Christ,

Russ and Lynn Turner
